2016 NY Bird Watching Fall / Winter Tours Schedule and Registration:
My birding watching tours will be held at a variety of local venues throughout NYC, Nassau and Suffolk
Counties. The birding tours will be limited to a maximum of 15 people. On the day of the birding tour
we will meet at a designated spot at the selected location.

In order to commence the bird watching tour promptly, all participants must arrive at least 15 minutes
prior to the scheduled start time. We will begin with an introduction of participants followed by a brief
historical overview of the location we will be birding as we set off to observe and identify as many
species as possible. Please bring binoculars, spotting scopes and cameras are also welcomed.

To Register - All payments are processed by PayPal, a PayPal account is not required to use major
credit/debit card payment options Master Card, Visa, Discover, American Express. Please select your

register.

Upon registering for a bird watching tour, each participant will receive follow up emails from me with
additional information, meet location and details pertaining to the selected program. Any questions

January 23, 2016 Sunday, 9:00pm to 11:00am.

Please join me at one of the last protected Freshwater Wetlands in NYC the 47 acre Willow Lake is
surrounded by more than 55 acres of meadows. We will meander on a wood chip trail through the
meadows in search of migratory visitors and home to many avians such as the Nuthatch, Dark-eyed
Junco, Tufted Titmouse and Red-bellied Woodpecker to name a few. As we pass a nearby pond we may
see Blue Heron, Mallards. American Kestrel and more. A blind provides a beautiful view of Willow Lake
and its numerous water birds in their natural environment. Do not forget to keep an eye to the sky for
Red-tailed Hawks, Mature and Immature Bald Eagles that have been in the area. We will meet at Park
Drive East at the main gate to Willow Lake.

Snowy Owls are now appearing in the region. Join me as we search for the majestic Snowy Owl at Jones
Beach State Park West End II. Over 6.5 miles of beach and 2,400 acres of land Jones beach is a
favorite annual winter retreat for the Snowy Owl. There are many other shorebirds to observe while we
search for the Snowy Owl. We may even come across another smaller Tundra visitor the Snow Buntings
that generally run and fly along the beach in small flocks. We will also see Dunlins, Long-tailed Ducks,
Common Eider, Loon, Birds of Prey and more. We will meet in the West end II parking lot at the
Southwest corner.

have two mature Bald Eagles frequenting the skies. During our trek we will also be able to observe other
Birds of Prey such as the Red-tailed Hawk, Cooper's Hawk and Sharp-shinned Hawk. Also pay attention  
for the Peregrine Falcon and American Kestrel as well as other avian delights. Once registered for this
walk I will email meeting location details to each participant.
